kitties.

Our adopted cat, Midge, had kittens two weeks ago and they are super cute!  Shockingly, she had the kittens in the box we had prepared for her on the porch.  In my experience they will have the kittens anywhere but where you want them to!  She had a small litter; only three little ones.  All seem to be females if the old wives tale of "more than three colors it's a girl" holds true.  They are all dark with little splotches of orange with a little white here and there.  They are quickly growing up and are on the move more and more each day in their little box.

Ruby is particularly interested in checking on them but is a little skittish when she can actually see and sniff them!  Leroy, our indoor cat, has been guarding the porch at night and takes his rounds rather seriously to keep away other wandering cats.  The city cat has becoming a little bit country!
