branding 2012.

Another spring, another year of branding has passed us.  While we will have plenty more calves to brand later this years the largest group is complete.  Last week we branded 194 head on one day followed by 45 on another.  Some were monsters, one big red in particular who was born in December and believe me, she was not inclined to do it easily!  We had a nice crew and great weather making the long days quite enjoyable! 

The crew had to tackle a few of the calves that escaped the chute and wrestle them the old fashioned way... making for a few exciting moments!
