prepping for chill.

I spent a few hours this morning with my Dad cutting wood below our house.  We started with a lecture regarding how I must never trust someone with a chainsaw.  Done and done.  I had the task of loading the wood into the truck bed.  I have a distinct memory of trying to throw a piece of wood from Dad's pile as a kid over my head only to have it go straight up with a harsh landing.  Kept my style simple this time!  I'm still mastering the art of splitting wood with the ax.

Our wood stove is the primary source of heat for the house currently.  Dave has mastered the art of a fire and has certainly earned this Boy Scout pin.  The house is typically balmy in the mid-70's.  I love it and Dave is accommodating!
